Professional Profile

Sony DADC

I currently work at the Terre Haute plant of Sony Digital Audio Disc Corporation. They were the first manufacturers of compact discs in the United States and have been on the cutting edge of disc replication ever since. I have been with SonyDADC since I was eighteen years old. By working around my school schedule, I have been able to stay employed all year round. While I am still in school, I work as a system engineer intern in our network mastering control systems department.

I specifically deal with handling customer data that is eventually cut to disc. We handle data migration, encryption, data storage, and almost anything else associated with a disc before you the consumer watch it at home. The data can be cut on any number of media such as CD, UMD, DVD or Blu-Ray. Not only does working for Sony give me a pay check every two weeks, but it has given me a wonderful opportunity to learn all about corporate technology architecture and what makes it tick. I have met many wise people along my travels and have tried to absorb as much information as possible. I believe being exposed to this level of complexity so early on in my career gives me a significant advantage over entry level college graduates. If you have any questions about the company or my experiences, please do not hesitate to contact me via e-mail. My resume is available for viewing in the documents section of this website.
